Cytokine Therapy
What is cytokine therapy?
Proteins secreted by immune cells are generally called cytokines, and the cytokine therapy is a treatment that uses these functions.
Cytokines act on the whole body to activate immune cells (e.g. lymphocytes) and help attack the cancer cells.
Types of Cytokine Therapies
Some of these therapies utilize “interleukins” that proliferate and activate T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, while others utilize “interferons” that activate NK cells and macrophages to demonstrate an antitumor effect.
At NEO Clinic Tokyo, we provide the “cytokine therapy” appropriately combined with other treatment methods following the policy of “precision medicine,” to maximize the therapeutic effect.
